bucket list

Well I guess we all have plans for our lives if we know it or not. . .  One of my major goals was to graduate high school and enter college at Iowa State University. This goal was met and now I have an all new goal set.  I have heard of the study abroad opportunities here at college, I would like to do this to learn more about different farming techniques used out of the united states to see how similar they are to each other. I also plan on earning a degree from ISU.

After college I would like to go back to my grandmothers dairy farm to get it back and functioning the way it should be, because i feel that my grandfather would be disappointed in the way it has turned out.  After that I would like to start up my own farm with crop ground and a cattle operation. I can see myself doing this for a long time. I would also love to travel around the world and visit the places of my ancestors.

I would like to find that special someone in my life to settle down with and have a couple children, I want to love and be loved and have love for my children and not have to put them through a divorce like i had gone through. and I just wanna grow old and live life to its fullest. . . Thats about it.

  1. Traveling the world and studying abroad is the major ones on my bucket list. It would be so interesting to learn about your interests/profession in different cultures.
Also, the motivation you have to go back to your grandma's dairy farm to return it to a solid foundation and then start your own is inspirational. I am sure it will be a lot of dedication but you sound determined to make it happen; therefore, I wish you the best of luck with everything.

  2. I want to study abroad too!
And I think that it is really sweet that you want to go back to help bring your grandparent's dairy farm to its former glory. :)
Good luck with your future. I know that if you stay as determined as you are now you can easily reach your goals! :)

  3. I have been thinking about studying abroad as well. The atmostphere in a different country is very similar here, because most colleges are diverse. I think going to a technical school in completely different area would be fun. I hope you end up studying abroad, I'm sure it would be quite the experience!

  4. I don't want to study abroad like everyone else does, but I have very similar goals to your agricultural ideas. I also want to go home and improve the family farm and also expand it. I know you can easily accomplish those goals.
